Gas chromatograph – mass spectrometer
Crafted with precision, driven by innovation
The M1-GM6100 pairs the upgraded GC6100 gas chromatograph with a high-performance mass spectrometer detector to form a single, coherent GC-MS platform. Advanced control systems and intelligent algorithms hold the experiment continuous and stable from first injection to final report, and the entire system is driven from one software environment that automates sample injection through to data analysis.
Chromatographic separation and mass detection are treated as one measurement chain. Electronic pneumatic control and column oven temperature control hold the front end steady; a high-efficiency inert ion source and a gold-plated molybdenum quadrupole hold the back end clean. Compensation algorithms for temperature and pressure keep that chain in calibration within a day and across days.
Eight consecutive 1 µL injections of 100 fg µL⁻¹ OFN give a peak area precision of 0.87 % and an instrument detection limit of 2.61 fg. Retention time moves by three thousandths of a minute across the set.

Instrument detection limit is calculated as (t × RSD × concentration) / 100, with t at the 99 % confidence level and n − 1 degrees of freedom. Eight consecutive 1 µL injections of 100 fg µL⁻¹ OFN: peak area precision 0.87 %, retention time RSD 0.022 %, IDL 2.61 fg.

Powerful and intelligent software

SmartLab CDS workstation
One environment covers every instrument in the laboratory — security, management, automation and regulation built around a single data store.

Method and status on a tablet
The browser interface reaches the same run from a phone or tablet, with live status and remote control.

Remote monitoring
Operating status is monitored in real time and presented through the interface and a four-colour LED light strip on the instrument.
