Triple quadrupole LC-MS/MS system

Ultimate stability, unmatched sensitivity — the flagship LC-MS/MS platform

The M1-TQ9200 is engineered around core proprietary technologies — an ultra-high-pressure linear motor pump, lossless needle-in-flow injection, an actively preheated column oven, a highly stable electrospray ionisation source, a durable vacuum interface, efficient ion transfer lenses and a stable tandem quadrupole driver. Together they deliver exceptional stability, efficiency and robustness, and hold quantitative performance even under complex sample conditions.

A 700 °C symmetrically heated gas system, a large 0.6 mm aperture and off-axis pulsed ion detection combine for exceptional desolvation and detection efficiency. Orthogonal sampling, gold-coated molybdenum quadrupoles and an active exhaust system resist clogging, contamination and memory effects.

Ten consecutive on-column injections of reserpine give 1.052 % RSD for peak area and 0.0 % for retention time; across five thousand consecutive injections of 50 pg reserpine the RSD stays below 5 % — the question that matters for a laboratory running unattended sequences overnight.

Eight changes to the ion path

+High-voltage linear field collision cell — axial acceleration minimises cross-contamination.
+Dual quadrupole transmission differential vacuum system for stable ion transmission.
+Needle micro-adjustment knob for rapid optimisation of spray position; integrated six-way valves for rapid flow-path switching.
+Off-axis pulsed ion detection, gold-coated molybdenum quadrupoles, orthogonal sampling and active preheat control with feedback loop.

+A 700 °C symmetrically heated gas system with adjustable nebuliser gas pressure ionises across 0.2 µL/min to 3 mL/min.
+A 90° vertical ion introduction path, a large 0.6 mm aperture and high-purity nitrogen backflow give exceptional desolvation efficiency and contamination resistance.
+An active exhaust system prevents memory effects.

Ion transfer and collection

+Collision-induced focusing; the pre-quadrupole shares the main quadrupole's field radius for maximum transmission.
+CFD-designed stagnant-zone sampling maximises collection.
+A direct mechanical fore-vacuum pump keeps the turbomolecular pump clear of contamination and extends its service life.

Built in

Ultimate stability

+Actively preheated column oven, durable vacuum interface and stable tandem quadrupole driver hold retention time and response steady across long unattended sequences.

Unmatched sensitivity

+700 °C symmetrically heated gas system, 0.6 mm aperture and off-axis pulsed ion detection for exceptional desolvation and detection efficiency.

Unwavering reliability

+Orthogonal sampling, gold-coated molybdenum quadrupoles and an active exhaust system resist clogging, contamination and memory effects.

SmartLab CDS workstation

+Chromatography and mass spectrometry controlled from a single platform; automatic tuning and automated method optimisation for rapid MRM method development.
+Client–server architecture, plugin-based module management, project-centric data organisation, customisable reports and a complete audit trail.

Measured performance

Reserpine in MRM mode — ten injections for precision, five thousand for stability. Ten injections measure precision. Five thousand measure whether the ion source, the vacuum interface and the quadrupoles stay clean enough to keep giving the same answer.
